Veterinary forensics is the objective and unbiased application of veterinary knowledge to questions asked by law enforcement and the court.
Dr. Amy Raines' 30 plus years of experience as a veterinarian and her Masters degree in Veterinary Forensics allows her to provide expert testimony and veterinary forensic case support on a wide variety of animal abuse investigations on a state and federal level.
She has extensive experience with supporting investigations involving physical abuse, neglect, blood sports, hoarding, ritualistic abuse, sexual abuse, forensic necropsies and more.
Dr. Raines is available on a case by case basis for review of veterinary reports, crime scene investigations, and forensic necropsies. On scene support is also available including examination of victims including forensic reports.
She has many years of experience providing expert testimony in a variety of cases, both civil and criminal.
She holds active veterinary licenses in California, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Dr. Raines also has over 20 years of experience providing hands on training in various subjects. She has conducted training on veterinary forensics, animal abuse, and The Link to many groups, including District Attorneys, Human Mental Health Care workers, Law Enforcement, Veterinarians, Veterinary students, and veterinary technician students.
